Classic Control Panels in 10.3

Seems a lot of control panels in 10.3 don't work under the Classic environment.

There was an option in the Sound Classic control panel that allowed me to play input audio from my line in/mic port through my sound out port. For the life of me I unable to find an option to toggle this on/off in Jaguar or any of the previous versions of X, and hence had to launch Classic's Sound control panel to fix that.

Is there a way to modify this setting? There's nothing in the Panther Sound control panel that looks remotely like the "Play input sound through output device" checkbox in OS 9.
