If you do a Cmd-I (Get Info) on one of these nameless files, does the Get Info reveal a filename and/or extension? Is there a chance that the files are "named" with one or more blank spaces and that the extensions are hidden?

I also get it, but only in a Spotlight results window. I only see it with fonts, never other file types, and I've never found a fix, though I've never really looked for one. But if I go to the location of the font in the Finder, the issue isn't present there. I simply identify missing-name fonts using the Path Bar at the bottom of the window (View > Show Path Bar, though it may be on by default in a Spotlight results window).
Edit: Using 10.7.4. |

NaOH, you are quite right. It seems to be something related to the SEARCH feature in Spotlight and almost exclusive to fonts as well. Don't know about a fix, it not crucial but sometimes a bit annoying.
Thanks and cheers,
