Leopard keeps forgetting hidden wifi network

Hi all. Unibody MBP running the latest Leopard (10.5.8). When I'm in range of the hidden wireless network (WPA2 Enterprise), I turn the Airport on, but only the Guest network is recognized, even though I've connected to the hidden SSID before. What's strange is that when I specify Other Network and enter the type as WPA2 and the SSID, it auto-populates my username/password from previous sessions so I know it at least is caching SOME information. Any ideas why it won't stay put?

Thanks,
loadedmind

Because it's hidden it requires an active hookup.

What do you mean by "active hookup?"

In my experience it should just work. I've used a hidden SSID for years, probably from OS 9 on. It's been remembered by every Mac that's come through this house in the last 10 years and through my last 3 wireless routers.

I'm using WPA2 Personal, though. Doesn't Enterprise require a special server?

Try creating a new Location, then enter the information for this hidden SSID in the new Location. It should work from that point on.

styrafome: I find that ignoring comments from folks that obviously have no experience with the topic's posted problem is the best way to handle it.

@LoadedMind: a completely unnecessary remark. You didn't ignore it; you responded to no useful end.

@NovaScotian: Yeah, I probably should have PM'ed styrafome, but there's no need in you being a dick about it either.

Please keep all conversations civil with no personal attacks. Disagreeing with something that is said is fine, but attacking their person is not.
