XServe 10.4 blue screen and no SSH access

Hi,

In pretty dire straits here. Our Xserve (which houses our intranet) has stopped responding to SSH requests (nothing happens, no errors, etc.). We can't get FTP access either and, after getting blue screen when trying to VNC onto it, we tried to attach a keyboard monitor to it which again resulted in blue screen. However (for the time being at least) the intranet continues to work as normal ???!!! I've been loathe to try a restart in case it completely dies. Anyone have any ideas?

What services are you running ?

I think you should take the plunge and restart. Not being able to ssh view anything is never a good sign, but hey sometime you have to bite the bullet.

Thanks for the reply. The intranet site ended up crashing so I was forced into rebooting manually. Gloriously, the Apple appeared on screen and I was able to login at which point I noticed that the hard drive was about 90% full so I deleted a good portion of it and fired up the intranet again. Fingers crossed but no problems so far.
