i tested te connection on the xbox and it confirmed the ip address and then failed when it came to the dns server
So use the same DNS Servers for your XBox that are working for you in both of your computers: 136.142.57.10, 136.142.188.76

Yes i tried this, but it does not work. Its weird when my xbox connects when im in windows Gateway, and DNS are the same on the xbox

Then try third party DNS servers, such as those maintained by OpenDNS: http://www.opendns.com/

Na i dont that will work either, because i cant replace my current DNS servers with the ones from that website b/c it will not let me edit my dns server list for my built-in ethernet connection

I just dont understand this, the setting are exactly how they are on windows, the IP address passes on the xbox, but the DNS wont? I dont understand

So are there any other solutions to this mess? or is this it?

WHAT will not let you edit your DNS server list?

my built in ether connect will not let me replace the DNS servers it currently uses with the ones from opendns.com. It will only let me add DNS servers
