imoviehd cd repair
hi
i just did a repair from cd it also came back with disk seems ok same issue w/imovie thou thanks |
imoviehd any ideas?
hi
after following all the steps i was wondering what you all thought of the last terminal output and such any possible suggestions if this might be fixable?? I am kinda stuck thanks for all very much for everything |
I'm still not sure what is going on - I don't understand how you could have gotten the output you showed in post#16.
So let's try again with some different commands to try to understand better. Please open up another Terminal window and then copy & paste the following (re-revised) commands and then press Return - and then copy & paste the result back here so we can see: find /Applications -maxdepth 3 -type d -name 'iMovie*.app' -print -exec ls -ld {} \; echo "-----------------" find /Applications -maxdepth 3 -type d -name 'iMovie*.app' -print -exec ls -l {}/Contents \; echo "done" |

I just don't see a problem. The program at /Applications/iMovie is iMovie '08, while /Applications/iMovie (previous version)/iMovie HD is iMovie '06.

imovie reinstall
hi
thanks all for the help Very early in the thread i mentioned that i had tried re installing from my disks, but same issue thou it seems to launch something gets it hung up i was hoping that i t might be a corrupted .plst or something but i dunno was really hoping that i could run it but not enough to redo the drive. might be something simple like a corrupted file it is looking for /using but i do appreciate your taking a swing at it thanks much |
imovie??
didn't here any suggestions after a while just wondering if anyone might have some suggestions?
thanks |
Launch the "Console" application (under /Applications/Utilities) and look for relevant error messages. Note that messages are labeled with the date & time so you can use that to locate the part of the log to look at. Copy & paste the relevant messages back here so we can see them.
Be sure to look at system.log as well as console.log (Use the "Logs" button (top-left) to see the various logs available - note that you will probably need to be an "admin" user to see the system.log) If the log refers to a crash log, press the "Logs" button (top-left) and go into the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter section to find that particular crash log. Copy & paste back here the last portion of that crash log - the part that gives details about the last crash (or preferably attach it as a plain text file, using the "Manage Attachments" button at the bottom when you reply). |
imovie logs
hi
i ran imovie waiting a while till the icon stoped bouncing in dock, it 'seems' like it's running but won't show up on screan it's like it's perminately hidden it dosn't show up as not responding the logs of which i searched all shows no error messages and no imovie entries you'd think there would be some entry i wonder if i get a standalone imovie disk and try to copy/install it from that if it'd work thanks much |
Does the iMovie menu bar show up?
I.e. what does it say at the top left of your screen when you launch iMovie? |
imoviehd

imovie thoughts
does this shead any light on the potential issue?
|
Sorry - I don't know what is going on with your Mac.
I'd try removing the troublesome copy of iMovie and then reinstalling (again) from the DVD that came with your Mac. |
tnx
