genius... trying it now :)

EDIT: that took me less than 30 seconds to download, change the .plist and get it working...

It took a while, but I finally got this working. The comments in this lifehacker article were very helpful.

For a while I could see the option in Address Book and it would accept my google info, but couldn't get it to actually do any syncing. Using iSync solved that problem.
