Don't remember, honestly. I don't think it will be a huge flop, there are a bunch of games out there that took longer than any expected to get out, and where good when they were released. So have some faith...:).

Actually I'd like to have some faith but I don't have it. They've been developing the game for about 7 years already. I'm sure they have to remake graphical design twice a year (if it was ever created) to catch up with the times. Still I'd like the game to be a nice sequel to Duke Nukem 3d. This was the first game I played on PC ever (1996)!

It's been ten years actually (I read an article recently), and I'm thinking 10 years is a great anniversary, thus they should release it. Of course, the 20 year anniversary is also a special thing...hmmm...

Don't you think that 10 years is a great date for the process of the game development?
I barely can imagine how this is done, but I think they had lots of troubles keeping the game up-to-date. I hope graphics will not be a letdown. 10 years is enough to make at least 5 good games, and FPS is not the type of game that requires 10 years of work

It's funny you mention the graphics engine, because the changing of said engine (twice) is what has made it take so long to be done. Originally they were just going to use the Quake 2 Engine, then they moved to Unreal, and now they are working with...memory fails me. But each of those iterations tooks a good 3 years, it would seem.

What's funny to me is that if they had just finished the stupid things, we could have had three Duke Nukem games by now...

go to gta4.net that has a timer, im making it a widget. No that isnt a pc release. I was talking to my friend at rockstar, he said they havnt even started to work on one for the pc. Ooh next time i see him i'll ask him why isnt gta on a mac.. :D

No way! Console release won't satisfy me! :( I don't have any and not gonna get it.. I'm waiting for PC/Mac release only. Are you sure they didn't even start to work at PC-version?? Some Russian PC-game websites are discussing GTA IV widely. I guess they discuss it as it going to be released on PC...

GTA is not a game I'm waiting for... But it would be interesting to see what will come of it.

From what ive seen, a lot will come from it, the engine is amazing, and it will blow all your expectations away

just to answer the original thread question, All the big game websites (ign, gamespot, 1up) have all unanimously said that call of duty was the best game of last year

I haven't played this game yet, but my brother claims it to be awesome

Can anybody tell me about Just Cause? Heard much about it but I've never played it. Someone tells it is pretty similar to GTA. Any thoughts or experience?
By the way, they are going to release Just Cause 2.
