Agree with JDV, probably won't help tossing HD in freezer. The only time this procedure can help is when your HD is kacking (failing mechanically, and often making a kack-kack sound as it does). The freezing is iffy and a last resort. Occasionally the contraction from the chilling will allow disc to spin properly. If so, grab everything you can because it probably generally won't last.
