When will Mac OS X Leopard be released?

When is Mac OS X Leopard supposed to be released to the public?

trevor 10-01-2007 01:45 AM

Who knows why Amazon says later? Probably Apple requested that they push it into November so that it doesn't spoil the exact day in October that it ships.

It might be October 31 that Apple makes Leopard available - that is still October - and hence it would not get delivered to you until early November.
I think Amazon is giving itself a few extra days just in case.

Hmm I think you're on to something, in the detailed order view it states: Shipping estimate: October 31, 2007 ...so I guess shipping is just slow ...

I thought that Apple was going to make it available sooner in October which is why I made this thread but perhaps they are going to release it on the 31st...

Thanks! :)

They release it when they release it, and not one day sooner. :D

26 October 2007 6:00 PM, announced on October 8?

That would be my guess but unfortunately there are not enough Mac geeks (users, maybe; geeks, no) to start an office pool around here...

Edit: Of course I mean "here" where I am physically, not this forum which I don't consider to be my office.

Craig R. Arko 10-01-2007 10:49 AM

Actually, there are plenty of Mac geeks around here, just ones who don't indulge in useless speculation. ;)

I'm surprised Apple isn't accepting Pre-Orders for Leopard. They've done this for all other OS upgrades.

I wonder if this means we're still several months away....

I can't see the numbers! I see the black boxes, and the white outlines, and the labels. But no Numbers in the boxes! :(

Do you have an extension like AdBlocker? Try turning it off.

They are png files. Does your browser support png?

Felix_MC 10-16-2007 08:15 PM

I don't have any ad, or pop up, or any other blockers on, and as far as i know, my browser supports png files. I don't no whats wrong...

EDIT: I revisited the site, and I can see them now. Do no what was wrong before

maclova 10-17-2007 12:28 AM

Apparently the release date is now set to October 26 :)

GavinBKK 10-17-2007 01:10 AM

Yes, I will be in Singapore that day - interested to see if we will get the same "simultaneous worldwide" release that we got with Tiger....?

I was going to grab a BlackMac whilst I was there, but with imminent revisions planned/widely rumoured, maybe I will wait after all.
