What time is it?

Sorry, just had a random moment. I want to see the difference between the time stamp I see on the posts and the actual time you people post your messages. I know we have users spanning continents, so I thought this might be interesting for all of us.

So, just post your local time and have done with it! ;)

1:53 am (and I just got back from work! I'm never working a graveyard shift again if it can at all be avoided...)

So, on my computer which is USA MDT, my post times appear to match, as does Zalister's. I believe my computer is set to translate posted times to my local time.

I hadn't thought about that until seeing the disparity between what my version of the thread time says compared to what the posters say about the time they've posted.

Interesting.

Does Anybody Really Know what Time it is?

Hey, Craig and John, come back and post your times already! Though I do apprecaite the Chicago reference.

John-- Yeah, that's what I had noticed actually. I figured that the post time must be set up to show my local time because otherwise there would be people posting at 4 in the morning! While not completely odd, I suppose, it didn't make sense for the crowd of people that usually comes through here...

So, I set up this post to see just how far and wide people came from, and to give everyone here a chance to see how different our times, and thus our schedules, really are.

Ah...
I see what you mean.

Much more 'New York' in flavor. As in Joe Pesci's favorite vocabulary word in My Cousin Vinnie. Takes me a week or two to get that out of my vocabulary every time I watch it.

True. I was actually going to edit the original theory but when I did, I realized that it lost all of it's power. But I still wanted a word that needed to be edited (you know, so I could still get that impact). So I went with what I have.

At any rate, the theory is totally true for the most part. And it explains quite a few of the posts I was reading on the Miami Heralds website, I'm sure. If I get any other complaints about the accuracy of the quote I'll change it :).

I totally agree. That's why I googled it in the first place. It certainly explains people posting video of assaults they've committed as if it's something to be proud of.
