I'm so tickled, I feel like Snoopy, the beagle from Charlie Brown comics, dancing with joy.

Just installed portable firefox on usb drive, migrated all my bookmarks, and I'm cookin'. Got all my major work related websites open in tabs.

(I know more recent versions of IE enable tabbed browsing, but not the version with which we're stuck here at our work.)

Thanks all.

Cool. :D

Just a thought--if you don't have the most recent version of IE on your workstation, you're probably not getting automatic updates, which probably means you're hideously vulnerable. You might want to kick someone in IT in the head.

Probably why we get at least one major viral/worm event every year! The entire hospital corporation system goes down, requiring the hiring of a slew of outside people to come in, uninfect every machine in the four hospital system.

Your security updates are probably years out of date. Jesus. Even my grandmother knows enough to let Windows Update run once a week. Your IT department needs to be fired.

Sometimes they slip through the cracks, it depends on how big the organization is. I found a few work stations a few months back that were running XP Pro, SP1. Somehow they didn't get updated when we pushed them out over the network.
