Are Your Defect Are Belong To MS

Every XBOX 360 is defective

WOW...first they extended their warranty...now they admit that every single 360 is defective. The deep pockets at MS are gonna come in handy for this fiasco.

While MS and Sony were busy fighting over "who's disc is better", Nintendo came in and walked away with the girl.

Bad news for every XBOX owner.
And very bad news for dear MS:D:D He-he...

Hopefully yours continues to work TLarkin...good thing though, if it fails you already know it's covered under warranty.

oddly enough my batteries last a lot longer on my wireless controllers on my 360 over my Wii.

I wonder what Sony's failure rate is at, and the Wii's failure rate since we are discussing consoles.

I'll have to admit that the 360 is pretty sweet. I only have a few games for it but I am happy I bought it. Xbox live is one of the better online services for consoles. I just wish they offered more free material.

there was a section on this on watchdog about 6 months ago, there meant to break like a month after the year warranty runs out, but im not too bothered i want me a ps3 :)

my xbox runs great too, other than it gets seriously slowed down when playing music off my ipod. i might have to get that 8 gigs of demos off my 9 gig hd :)

Get it replaced under the extended warranty man! You got xbox live? I have to admit that rainbox six vegas is a very fun game on xbox live.

Man that sucks, xbox live with rainbox six is actually loads of fun. I love pumping doors full of C4 and then making noise so when the enemy comes through the door to kill me I just click the detonator. I still laugh every time I take out like 5 terrorists at once. Gears of War is also very fun with xbox live.

I just got my 360 recently so I don't have many games.

xbox live is also a very strange experience. I have played online with raving 12 year olds, the most redneck person you could imagine, the most ghetto gangsta person you can imagine, the professional gamer types, and just some very strange people in general. The internet makes everything so much more interesting at times. I play for fun, and often leave servers it people get on my nerves but thats the beauty of it, is that you can just leave and find somewhere else to play or host your own game. Overall the experience is worth it IMO because of the crazy people you get to listen to online while you play. I have heard some hilarious things come out of people's mouths.

Crackdown. Enjoyable game.
Lost Planet. Amusing.
Armored Core 4. Crap.
Madden 07. Crap.
CoD3. OK.

At this point, until Mass Effect comes out, I'm not playing the 360.

I'll waste all my time with LOTRO.

Anyone have a PS3/Wii here? I'm wondering if those consoles have iPod integration like the 360 does.

I have a Wii it rocks but does not have any kind of music plug in that I can tell.

I own:

Resident Evil 4 (oh man this game rules on the Wii sooooo much!!!!)
Tiger Woods
metal Slug Anthology
Wii Sports

Does RE4 use the Wiimote? Or do you have to use that controller doohickey to play it?

As far as the Wii goes, I'm going to have to say Nintendo is keeping one goal in mind as far as gaming goes: innovation. Giving players new ways to interact with their games. In my book, that puts it ahead of the PS3/Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, I'm still stuck with a PS2 and GameCube. (Never got an Xbox. Too big.)

Yeah, I'll ride the previous generation until I can't anymore.

tlarkin 07-19-2007 04:02 PM

Oh yes it uses the wii mote, which makes it so much better. I had it for the GC before and the new wii version is sooo much better. Killing zombies (well alien parasites in RE4) is kind of a past time for me. I mean I have the zombie survival guide handy at all times.

Anyways, I can't wait for the new RE to come out for the Wii, it will be so bad ass. Also have you seen the new mario kart? It comes with wireless steering wheels that use the gyroscope controls, man it is going to be sooooooo awesome!!!!

Tiger woods is the hardest version of TW I have played. I mean you have to swing straight otherwise its impossible to hit the freaking ball right in the game. its very fun.

Zelda is also awesome, I forgot i own that game as well, but my neighbor is borrowing it at the moment so i totally forgot that I own it.

WTF?... arn't there specialist forums for that kind of thing? :)

Seriously though.... as a non gamer I cant believe Nintendo have called two of their products Wii... and DS... To me those are polite terms for urine and DogShit... thats even worse than MS's Zuneup calling their product Zune!

You whacky people from the UK.....:D

Nintendo has a whole concept with the Wii. Wii is a word that is pronounceable in every language. Also in English it can see like We, as in a community. I have to say that playing the Wii with others is a lot of fun. In fact I prefer to bowl or play tennis with friends, and seldom do I play the game alone.

You will have to play one yourself though to fully get what I am talking about.

Anti 07-20-2007 03:38 AM

To be honest, I preferred the DS to the PSP. I liked the Touchscreen lots.

On the DS, I own Metroid Prime Hunters, Final Fantasy 3, and Pokemon Pearl (Because a LOT of my friends own it, and I like being better than my friends at something other than sports).

I like how Nintendo innovates. Everyone else just focuses on raw power.

Darned right!
In what other country do you accidently step on somebody’s foot -- and have them say: "Sorry." ?? ;)

In a way, this is what makes me want to stay in the UK. In the U.S, you'd probably get cursed at (not that bad), or a gun pointed in your face. (Worst)
