How to change an icon in MacOSX 10.4
Hi! I am new to mac and I want to change some (not all) icons in Mac OS X. How can I do that?
|
1a) If you are copying the icon from another file/folder/app then Option Click the the icon and choose Get Info. Now click the icon--a faint blue shadow will appear around it--and click Command+C.
1b) If you are copying a pic, just copy the pic to the clipboard. 2) Then go to the recipient file/folder/app, choose Get Info, highlight the icon and Command+V. If you want to change the icon of a file extension association then I can't help you. That feat is somewhat more difficult. |
That should be ⌘-C and ⌘-V, not Control-C and Control-V.

About default icons
Thanks, but the problem is that I can't change back to default icons, because I can't find icon's directory. Do You know where are they hiding?
|
That is easy. Just do a Spotlight search for icns.

How are you able to print the Command symbol? I get a question mark? I've changed from Western ISO, Western Mac and Unicode-8, but the result is the same. |
