Voldenuit, where are youuuuuuuuuu!!??

That's all, just had to get that out. I feel much better now thanks. :)
Hope it's one killer vacation. Also hope it's just a temporary vacation.

ThreeDee 10-11-2006 04:33 PM

'Vacation' in British English is 'Holiday'.

And yes, I do notice that Voldenuit has been away for a while.

On a totally unrelated note, Lord Voldemort is the evil character in the Harry Potter series.

Photek 10-11-2006 04:33 PM

I try! Been real busy lately with school/hockey/trying to find a real job (i'm a senior)/and my girlfriend

Quite the balancing act ;)

ThreeBKK 10-12-2006 03:23 AM

I recommend combining some of those to save on time. If your girlfriend joins the Hockey team does that count as quality time together?

CAlvarez 10-12-2006 08:17 AM

I took some vacation time too, with limited net access and really, little desire to pull out the computer at all.

Thanks for posting those photos CAlvarez. I did enjoy taking a look at them. The problem is that now I have a permanent mental image of you looking like Black Beard.

ThreeBKK 10-27-2006 05:56 PM

At what point should we post an obituary for Voldenuit? It's been almost two months now, and no new posts. Perhaps after three months I'll write up a little… (One of those monologues that you say at someone's funeral. Lamentation?).

ArcticStones 10-27-2006 06:40 PM

A source of food for thought...

.
I’m sure he’ll be back soon. At least I certainly hope so – his posts have always given me food for thought, and he has posted a wealth of excellent references on key topics that interest me.

That’s one of the things I really appreciate about this Forum: the posters who enlarge my perception, and sometimes change my views.

Best regards,
ArcticStones

Well, still no sign and it's been 3 months now. Last activity 16/09... very odd after a post average in excess of 4 per day. I hope he is OK but from that activity level to nothing for 3 months starts to suggest otherwise.

I hope I am wrong, though.
Gavin

Jay Carr 12-18-2006 04:51 PM

Well, we could always try and figure out who he is in real life and drop him a line... Has anyone emailed him at all? I have to admit that his drop in activity level is pretty odd...

ThreeBKK 12-18-2006 07:14 PM

Yeah, but there aren't any clues in his profile, and Voldenuit isn't his real name. He had been active on a few other Mac/PC forums, but I haven't checked to see if there are any other profiles with more personal info.

NovaScotian 12-18-2006 08:04 PM

For those who hadn't noticed, Vol de Nuit means Night Flight. Has anyone just tried: his Forum email link?

GavinBKK 12-18-2006 11:50 PM

Unfortunately, the link tells us that he does not want any personal email and we must go via Admin....

Admins, Over to You.

Jay Carr 12-19-2006 06:16 PM

Yeah, if one of the admins could do something to make sure he's okay, that was a weird drop off. He used to come by all the time...

bramley 12-19-2006 06:20 PM

Could try: http://www.macosxhints.com/users.php...le&uid=1006096 - the email link I mean.

I'm not saying anything...I'm just saying...

hayne 12-19-2006 08:49 PM

I've had no response from voldenuit on the one email address we have. (I sent an email more than a month ago.)

ArcticStones 12-19-2006 09:50 PM

.
Same here. I’ve sent him several emails, most recently last night.
No response yet, but his address is still active.

Crossing my fingers we’ll hear from him. I miss his input into the Forums.

LOL. Sorry voldenuit but seeing your reply on a post this afternoon reminded me of this old thread.
