hi
cs2 has worked for ages on my G5 but now everytime it crashes as soon as I launch it.
I have uninstalled and relaunched it to no effect. it seems to crash as soon as the "buliding twain menu items" text comes up but I have put the crash report below.
Bridge seems to work ok


Any ideas?

Did this start happening after installing a new scanner (with drivers) as it appears to be doing something related to TWAIN (most commonly related to scanner image input)?

thank you. I think that might be it. I have a flat bed scanner (epson) that the wires were pulled out of when live. it works now but that would make sense.

Any idea what I should do? I've tried to put it all back together again. should I delete the scanner drivers? thanks for your help again

Sounds very similar to a problem I had. Photoshop was unexpectedly quitting after I installed some scanner drivers. What I did is found the appropriate drivers for my scanner online and ran the uninstaller. The reinstalled the drivers. Everything worked after that.

What to do about the TWAIN driver
 

May I clarify the problem I'm having with this phenomenon?

Photoshop crashes on launch, apparantly because I have installed a TWAIN driver since last time I tried to launch it.

I have an Epson RX620, which includes a scanner. I installed the driver(s) from the Epson CD included with the unit.

What exactly must I do to be able to use both Photoshop and the scanner?

The section that gives info on the thread that crashed refers to "getTimezone__Fv" which would seem to indicate that the problem is related to the time zone setting on your Mac. But I don't know why that would suddenly be causing a problem.
Perhaps try just changing the time zone too something else and back again.
