Here in Canada, surely the most politically correct country in the world today, folks who were once "Black Canadians" are now "African Canadians". That really chuffs a pal of mine who's a long-transplanted Egyptian, hence African, but excluded from the intended definition because he's a Coptic (Christian) Arab.

A friend of mine is African, but pasty white. So she always checks off "African-American" as her origin on government forms, just for fun. It only offends white people she says, black people think it's fitting to make fun of something so dumb.
