but when somone connect afp turn off ...

In netinfo, i have nothing in folder config : is it normal

i'm going thru the same thing .. procs maxed out, I have a tickekt open with support. but in the mean time they said to try this


Deleted the file: /var/db/BRLM.db
Replace the file com.apple.ByteRangeLocking.plist with the copy
from a known good server
Reboot the server

now i haven't tried this yet, and i doun't know if i can replace it with a ver from 10.3 but anything is worth a try until they come up with a fix. All my other servers will stay at 10.3.

com.apple.ByteRangeChecking.plist FIX
 

I, too, started having problems with both AFP and Samba file sharing under 10.4.7.

Last week I had moved all of my system and personal preferences out of the way to fix intermittent kernel panics that were occurring when I awoke my 1.67 GHz Powerbook G4 from sleep.
Luckily, I had not deleted my prefs files, so I copied com.apple.ByteRangeChecking.plist back into /Library/Preferences, and deleted /var/db/PRLM.db. These actions fixed both AFP and Samba.
