The Master and Margarita
 

I can heartily recommend "The Master and Margarita" (by Bulgakov). It's a fabulous novel. But be aware that there are several translations available and they vary considerably. Some try to be close literal translations, others try to capture the spirit of the Russian original. Generally recommended to read several versions!
