That would take care of cookies in the Netscape software, but TomMXEdit was having problems connecting to the Netscape site from Safari, so IN SAFARI, preferences, click on Security, click on 'Show Cookies', scroll through the listing looking for entries with Netscape in the name. Select each and click on delete. No need to remove all the cookies, what would you do with the glass of milk? :D

Yes, well TomMXEdit had already deleted his cookies. Jill was having trouble with Netscape. And Jill, you don't have to delete all your cookies either. Don't eat them though! They're not good for you.
:D

Thanks - the "Remove cookies in Safari" worked!

The removal of the netscape cookies in the security preferences of the Safari browser has enabled me to again log onto the apple netscape page: http://home.netscape.com/main.adp

Thanks very much!

Regards, Steve

Jill's problem is the Netscape website's cookies in Safari. Not Netscape.

To delete the Netscape cookies. Open the file ~/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist with TextEdit. Do a find for 'netscape.com' and at each place you find it, delete the entire passage from the previous <dict> to the following </dict>. I suspect this behavior is because Netscape is eliminating the 'apple.netscape.com' home page. I've noticed recently that Apple is now supplying their own homepage for new installs resembling a cross between the Main page and Hot News.

Mee Too!

The same redirect happened to me. What is the address for the original netscape/apple site I used to see. It is now lost.

Rookie Mac.

LAS VEGAS

Do you have the new apple/netscape site replacement address?

Las Vegas,

Do You Have Apples New Homepage? I Think You Said It's A Cross Between A Pink Lady And A Golden Delicious?!

Thanks,
Rookie
