Congratulations, yellow!

Maybe I'm slow on the uptake, but I've only just noticed this morning the tidbit in yellow's sig line:

We're off to the Bahamas to get married in May! Yay!
Excellent! Congratulations!

vancenase 03-29-2004 01:27 PM

most excellent indeed! congrats!

yellow 03-29-2004 02:31 PM

Ah, thanks! 7 nights and 8 days at Sandals Royal Bahamian. One of those all-inclusives. We're really looking forward to it!

schneb 03-29-2004 02:35 PM

Eeeek... looks expensive. Hope you and your new honey have a most excellent future together. Let us know your experience as I may go there some day.

MBHockey 03-29-2004 04:09 PM

Congratulations. I don't know how i missed it! I was just checking that website, actually drooling over how beautiful it looks and all that massage stuff that is available...

just curious, what day are you getting married? (My birthday is May 12th)

yellow 03-29-2004 04:23 PM

Getting married May 21st!

It is expensive, but that is all relative. I've never been to an all-inclusive, but they aren't kidding. Everything is included in the price of the room. Concierge, all drinks (top shelf liquor, beer, wine, etc), all food (they have 6 or 8 gourmet restaurants on the resort), all activities. I don't have to tip, I don't have to carry cash, I don't have to even carry a wallet. I think I can earn back the amount we spend, simply by drinking martinis! :)

Phil St. Romain 03-29-2004 05:37 PM

Best wishes, yellow. :)

Of course, the real question is how you will survive all those days without being able to fiddle with a computer. :p

Hahaha, that is funny!

schneb 03-29-2004 07:45 PM

Hey, you can post pictures on the forums now, how about a shot of the lovely couple?

yellow 03-29-2004 09:43 PM

The happy kids...

Let's see if this works.. Yes, I am quite tall.

sao 03-29-2004 10:22 PM

Congratulations, Yellow! wish you all the best in your new adventure... :)

Phil St. Romain 03-29-2004 11:06 PM

Wow! And maybe she's short?

We should get a MacOSX Hints forum basketball team going. You and lerkfish (who is tall) could hold down the front line, I'll take up my old shooting guard position, and, well, I'm sure there are others who could help out.

So tell us more, too, about yellow.is-a-geek.org (host domain for the img). The .org is especially intriguing!

mnewman 03-30-2004 03:46 AM

Congratulations Yellow! You've helped me out more than once. I hope your good nature brings you marital success.

As an aside, It's certainly nice to put a face (and long body) together with a screen name.

It appears that you're a very lucky couple.

Hey, best wishes to you both. Just celebrated our 16th anniversary over the weekend (no Bahamas, though).

I'll be happy to run the beer concession at the basketball games. :D

ulrichm 03-30-2004 12:03 PM

Craig: Did you see it was your 2000th post?!?!?!?!?!
And all the best to you yellow and your fiancee!

schneb 03-30-2004 12:18 PM

No Image For Me?

I cannot see the image in Netscape 7 or IE, nor do I have access to the Quick Message box. Can anyone tell me why?

:D I could always post a bajillion more Simpson's Quotes, but even then I think it'd be a struggle.

Schneb: I tried it and can see the image in both. I wasn't logged in as meyself, either time. Make sure "Show Images" is checked in your User CP (Edit Options).
