We are all going to hell!!!

Here's an article about the propaganda being put forward by evolutionists and satanists (which are probably synonymous) to spread their message. Scroll down the page to the section on Apple Computer. The evils include open-source (or communist) Darwin, the bitten apple logo, the Hexley daemon and it's logo (marketing Satan to children), and the unix command chmod 666 (which obviously changes a files ownership to the Dark Lord). Even the Think Different slogan is evil and the Emac is just another attempt at ensnaring our nations schoolchildren. We are all going to hell in an iMac!

http://objective.jesussave.us/propaganda.html

What is scary about this article is how the person who wrote it seems to be very serious. I really don't think he's joking.

Yep, scary...very scary. Interesting that the guy is also so Windows brainwashed that even calling the "familiar Recycle Bin" from "normal computers" a "Trash Can" is somehow an evil plot. Unbelievable.

sao 09-20-2003 03:59 AM

Poor guy..! he clearly crossed over the line from true religion into ignorance and fanaticism. And when the "blind" leads... the followers stay in darkness.

Maybe, he's paid by the evil empire... :D

Like Microsoft? Anybody know if there are any daemons in Windows? It would be neat if that would keep this guy away from computers.

darkpaw 09-20-2003 06:34 AM

I bet their site is hosted on a UNIX box and thus has chmod on it, and thus chmod 666 can be used on it, and thus their site is linked to Satan.

What a loser!!! I mean, WHAT A LOSER!!!

OS X is based on a BSD Unix core called Darwin, therefore Apple Computer Inc. promotes Darwinism. No... It's a NAME.

Next thing he'll be linking Satanism to Apple Computer because they both have a 't' in them

Is eating an apple remiscient of (remember, this is from HIS religion) Adam & Eve's escapades in that garden centre or wherever it was? Should all apples be destroyed.

This guy is a freak, and just another reason for me to not support his religion/cult.

I checked this out by trying to get a 404 error. They are on windows. Any 404 is actually redirected to their Web host home page, but a 404 there goes to a windows error message.

Plutronics 09-20-2003 07:35 AM

Whaaa ?

I don't remember darwin ever saying anything denying gods existence. how would "evolving" deny his existence? would it not be much more of a feat to ignite a spark of life on a dead planet that would, on it's own, evolve into the religious idiots we know and love today? "God made man in his own image" would mean I'm omnipotent and yet I can't seem to teach my wife logic! :p

vonleigh 09-20-2003 07:43 PM

Since it is the coat room: and who says that satanists are necessarily evil or wrong either? I'm sure there are factions that do all kinds of strange things, but I actually once met a satanist that was a great man.

He explained it like this: to him Satan is the one that tempted man into eating of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Therefore Satan is the bringer of knowledge to mankind, he sacrificed himself so that we can chose and not be slaves. So the highest form of worship, to our immediate god (our giver of truth), is to learn.

Then again I'm sure there are satanists that think they have to kill people and chickens in strange rituals.

Same thing with christians, I've met wonderful christians that really did follow the words "treat others like your brother" (several ways of translating that). And so they were truly great people, a bit extreme in my view, but great honorable people.

At the same time I've met bible thumpers that are no more christians than you or I if you follow Christian to mean "follower of christ". They condemn and they disregard.

In the end I think agnosticism is the way to go : )

This has been bugging me ever since reading this, but I can't seem to track it down. I thought I had read somewhere that the name "Darwin" for Apple's flavor of Unix actually came from the name of one of the lead programmers for NextStep on which "Darwin" was based.

Almost certain his first name was not "Charles". Can anybody shed some light on this for me? Forgotten where I read it in the first place.

breen 09-20-2003 09:42 PM

This thing pops up every now and again. I think an online friend demonstrated that it's all a satiric hoax, but I don't find a link right now.

I'll look into it and report back...

Correct you are Breen. I wish I had a link, as I have seen this debunked as well.

jbc 09-20-2003 10:27 PM

Suppose it's non-critical if it's a bogus story. I had originally thought it rather odd that Dr. Paley got so overworked about a name that I'd read really had nothing to do with evolutionism.

Who knows? Maybe Apple named it after the town in Australia?

It's not non-critical. This is the kind of thing that your co-workers, your friends, or (God forbid!) your pastor may come across on the 'net and be tempted to swallow. The person who posted the linked article could be one such.
It may be true that "against ignorance the gods themselves contend in vain." But if not the gods then we need to have the weapons of knowledge in our armory.
One of my friends will respond to my request for info and I'll post it here. Then we'll all be prepared if we encounter this rumor again.

Getting preachy, am I? Probably because tomorrow's Sunday and I'm just warming up...

Re: We are all going to hell!!!

I really liked this one: Furthermore, the Darwin OS is released under an "Open Source" license, which is just another name for Communism. They try to hide all of this under a facade of shiny, "lickable" buttons, but the truth has finally come out: Apple Computers promote Godless Darwinism and Communism.

Man alive! Think what thalo and the brotherhood could do with that! :D

That whole article (if not a hoax) is a good example of the worst kind of paranoia among biblical fundamentalists. Those who think along these lines are a fringe group, at best.

I have to agree with Phil there, that's why I don't completely agree with breen in that someone would "be tempted to swallow" it. If you are persuaded by those arguments it's because you probably agreed before hand, preaching to the choir.

I am not. I consider this just a good, fun read.

And I recommend you peruse the rest of the site so that you could learn about the dinosaurs that still live in Africa with the pygmies and about the moon which just so happens to speak in aramaic. If only NASA would release the recording so that we could all know what it is saying. There's also song lyrics to a funny song: That Wacky Wacky Wicca Chick.

Actually, the more I read it the more I think it's a hoax. I hope it is at any rate.

Russ R. 09-21-2003 09:46 PM

It's a hoax...

...but, one with the tongue firmly implanted in the cheek. They are back with a new one - a tirade against the heresy of triclavianism (the belief that only three nails were employed in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ). I'm sure that Christians everywhere are concerned about this.

For more info, see this.

not all christians are like this...

this guys is way over the top... even for a christian, which i happen to be. please remember not all christians are like this. just let him happily live in his delusion. as long as religious fanatics don't strap bombs on their backs and walk into crowded streets everyone can live together, we'll just have to adapt a sense of humor. :) it really is funny.

vickishome 10-06-2003 01:09 AM

ROTFLMAO!! I hadn't seen that one before. What a hoot! Yes, I agree, the only people who could swallow that whole line is someone who already possessed high levels of religious paranoia. Just the idea of thinking differently (as the author so clearly pointed out) is frightening to some. If it wasn't chmod 666, it would have been something else.

Hmm... speaking of chmod 666. If Macintosh is the sign of the devil, then what happened to Unix? Didn't chmod 666 comes from Unix?! Ah, but that would confuse the author, I bet.

Maybe I should post warnings to my children's friends' parents before allowing the kids to enter my house. What must they think! I'm an Macintosh using athiest who allows my children to read Harry Potter. We really are going to hell!

LOL!! :D

msmercury01 10-08-2003 12:56 AM

what a laugh

Some people! Some of these Christian fanatics will read Satanism into anything. Since when is being non Christian simultaneous with worshipping Satan? I am not a Christian but I don't worship Satan; I don't even believe in Satan! I live in a bible belt area full of these kinds of idiots. I've also heard that Disney is an evil empire. ha ha ha ha ha....
Teri

vonleigh 10-08-2003 01:18 AM

Since it is the coatroom (i love that phrase). Disney is evil, not for the usual reasons, but because they are shutting down all 2D:

<http://www.mouseplanet.com/david/dk030814.htm>

As always clueless managers see Nemo making millions and it's not because of the wonderful animation, great story and artistry, it's the 3D that sells....

I am mildly offended that you call this Lunatic a Christian
HE IS NOT a Christian , Regardless of his claims to be . ( like everything else he claims) :D
Yes , I chuckle at his Dementia , but he is using the same tactics as Hitler and Ben Laden. And if he had any Following, he would send suicide bombers against we Mac-adonians and would end up giving a Kool-Aid Party like Jones Did.
Kill all the Evil Ones and let Satan sort them Out.
Yes , I am an Ex-Green Beret, How did you Guess ? :D :D
