Ack! EMO? I didn't know all the DC Hardcore I listened to when I was 16 and 17 was in some genre called emo.

LOL.. thankfully I haven't lived here all my life. I'm a Yankee lost in the South. And even more thankfully I've always been Shoegazing free! Give me the sound of a jug with XXX painted (badly) on it anytime..

Yup its all recycled, and will be for a while.

You can get even more specific nowadays though with genres such as:

surf punk
garage
grind core
tribal metal
emo
screamo (apparently this is hardcore emo??)
tech metal
thrash


etc. etc.

Right now I'm a huge fan of Toothless Jedadiah's Jug and Twangy Thangy Band.. Man, they rock.. err.. toot.. err.. twang. It's infectious.

I have a large cd collection, but I listen to Queens Of The Stoneage, Rancid, The Who. Pearl Jam and Dropkick Murphys alot. Alot of the music I listen to the most I load into a playlist on ITunes.
