This does allow me to change the user agent, but sadly, I tried with both mozilla and ms IE settings and neither allowed the saving of my info :(
I launched mozilla and logged in and it saved my info. I guess I'll just need to use mozilla to pay the bills. J |
Geez. That's too bad. I don't understand why it would do that for you and that one site. Or does it do it with other sites too?
You still don't have to use Mozilla to pay the bills, if you don't mind entering in your user name and password for Citibank when you do from Safari. |
Every other site works fine, and mozilla on mac works. Seems to be something with the citibank site. I wish it were just entering a username and password, but I have to enter an entire 16 digit card number, then a pin. Usually, after you enter it the first time it saves it under your name and then you just enter your pin number from now on. But now I have to enter that entire 16 digit number again :( I'm sure eventually I'll memorize it if I keep typing it in enough. But I think I'll just stick with mozilla when I need to pay the bills. No biggie. Better than having to use my windows machine ;)

I was using the public betas just fine... never had any problems. All of a sudden, the official release just won't work. Eric |
OIC. Well, it's not too much of a bother for you to use Mozilla then, that's good.
At some point, Citibank should be told about this though. I never knew a person had to go through all that with the 16 characters and all. At least with others like Merrill Lynch, you can check a box to save that kind of info. But as I had said, I don't do it that way for security reasons. I'll bet if you were on a Windoze machine running, say, Crazy Browser, you might have the same problem. But who wants to try that out anyway. :D |
:) FANTASTIC!!!!!
Movie trailers once again work at Internet Movie Data Base site.... No problems with Capital One site here. |

1.0 Sucks for Me
I'm having the same problems as Eric. 1.0 won't load but a small handful of pages (even local pages won't load) and it crashes constantly.
Any luck on getting it to work? I have trashed preferences, plist files, cache, etc. No luck. HELP!!! |
Hmm.. got any Safari hacks or "Speed Download"-type hacks installed? Funky plug-ins?

Frustrated & Annoyed |
* fonts bigger
* dang underline links * seems to open more links in new windows even though I have it set to use current window. PhpMyAdmin was a good example. Every click would open a new window, which sort of defeats the purpose of the frames in PHPMyAdmin. * no other problems FYI - PithHelmet developer has a working version for 1.0 but no installer. You can download it here, but you will need your old PithHelmet parts to install it. http://www.culater.net/osd/PithHelme...t-0.6.2-27.tgz Download the file and decompress, inside is a file called "PithHelmet.bundle". Move that file into your old PithHelmet install - probably ~/Library/InputManagers/SIMBL/Plugins replacing the file already there. |

I'm having the same problem as Eric - constant crashes, very few pages load reliably. The betas worked reasonably well.

in the advanced pref style sheet: ( somefile.css ) i have the following line: a:link { color: blue; text-decoration: none; } i believe that : none; affects the underlining. |
font smoothing?
Another problem. I can't seem to get the right font smoothing setting on Safari. I have the "turn off font smoothing" in the system preferences set to 10. This seems to be the best setting for most other things. But at this setting, the text in Safari often looks blurry. Internet Explorer (blech!) had a separate setting for turning off font smoothing at font sizes independent of the system preferences. I usually set that to 18 or so. That worked really well, text looked great. Despite everything that I've tried, the text in IE looks way better than Safari.
Am I overlooking something? |
