But actually, having to at least mention the decades-long battle between Apple Corps. and Apple Inc. to provide some proper perspective (and context) takes more than a few words.

Perhaps it was all the "volumes" of pooh-poohing that i've sifted through since the 16th that may have motivated the extended verbiage in my reply. Compared to those original two sentences Apple put up on their homepage, the mind-boggling reactions by millions of posters is what qualifies as "hype". [in my mind anyway.]

"hype" everything Apple does is pretty much hype.
"The fact that some folks are ignorant of history" I am not just completely not interested in ploughing any money into iTunes or Apple Corps.

LOL. Well if they reformed at this stage to release some new material I think the half of the band that are actually deceased should be able to shed some light on the afterlife.
