Yes, that was the end of any credibility as a science fiction outlet. Now they're just another channel in the crowd of channels.

Completely off topic, John; that's a hell of a scar! Haven't reached that stage myself, but getting there.

LOL, did you go to my flickr site and see the incision?

I'm hoping that this coming friday's session with the surgeon will see the removal of both the foley catheter and the staples!

It's the enforced inactivity that's caused the increase in TV watching and wondering about the SyFy thing.

And I'm with capitalj in amazement regarding the network's televising of professional wrestling. My first thought when that happened was, "what's up with this?"

But I was also amazed at how the horror genre got lumped in with science fiction. I grew up loving SF, and never was able to learn to enjoy horror.

But, diff'rent strokes...

Yes, I had a look at Flicr. The reason for the very large opening, btw, is that an inside job like yours (as opposed to a transurethral roto-rooter approach) is that there's a lot of stuff in the way and most of it has to be moved.

I'm not familiar with the sci-fi network but I'm always suspicious of rebranding. It's often a way of hiding the fact that they are cutting back somewhere. Like giving something a new box to hide the fact that they are charging more and giving you less... but look at the purty box.

So, I was out of touch for a week or so. I'd marked on my calendar about the return of the show Eureka on the SciFi network.
That's my favorite show on SyFy along with Warehouse 13 :D
I was REALLY surprised when I saw they changed the name.. It's like it used to seem kinda nerdy and stuff before but now they're just trying to appeal to people my age and they kinda fail...

They don't make teenage SF geeks anymore? Wow, thats a shame.
