Hi, I'm pretty savvy at Word and have been using it for years. I am submitting my doctoral thesis to a "formatting" panel for review and they've demanded that I must have page numbers at the top for some pages, then at the bottom and centered for other pages. One these alternate page numbered areas, I must also change margins and other formatting elements. There are about 20 instances where this must be done. I've thought about dividing the paper into many separate word docs, then changing formatting on each to what is required for that section of the paper. I've also tried creating sections within the entire Word doc, but I'm not getting the results I need.
