Can a Macbook Pro act as a wireless router?

Okay... I have a terrible feeling that this is one of the dumbest questions to be asked on this forum, but I'm being honest. I just got my iPod Touch, and I wanted to use the internet on it, but I don't have a wireless router. So, I was wondering if there was any way that I could have my iPod connect to the Macbook's internet wirelessly, as if it were a wireless router.

Like I said... I feel really dumb asking this. I'm okay with computer's, but I'm awful at networking and anything along those lines.

System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet Sharing should do it.
