I have a Epson Stylus color 600 that I would like to
use with MAC OSX (curently using it with windows
via the parallel port).
A. Can I use a USB -> Parallel converter for it?
B. I can't find and OSX drivers for it - does anybody
know if it does work?
Thanks in advance...

The answer is yes. Check out http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3
Make sure you read through the discussions, etc, as some parrell to usb converters aren't as stable as others using this app. I have been using it with my Stylus Color 640 with absolutely no problems. As long as you follow the install instructions exactly it works perfectly.(At least so far for me)

Thanks for the hint - I will try this and see

This suggestion of using GIMP-PRINT worked
like a charm.
Instead of using a USB->Parallel converter, I just
turned on sharing for the printer in WinXP, hooked
a crossover cable from my mac -> PC (I still use
dial up for internet access) and connected to the
SMB printer using the gimp-print instructions.
Thanks again!!!
