Hello, I was wondering if there is an application to automatically remember ALL passwords typed in firefox or safari, for a certain username entered before the password, WITHOUT asking anything? Yes, I realize it's a huge security risk, but I only visit sites like myspace, gmail, etc... Nothing like paypal or bank account sites...

Thanks!:)

I concur that 1Password is the way to go, it is the best password manager for mac so much better than Apple's keychain and other built in password managers. I have been using it for years and it is excellent.

Funny that you would say that, as 1Password is just a front end to accessing Apple's keychain! Open up Keychain Access and you will see that 1Password has created a bunch of entries in your Keychain to store all of your passwords. The difference is not that 1Password is better than Apple's Keychain, but rather that 1Password puts Keychain to a specific use. Keychain itself was intended as a generic store for passwords, and I think it does that job well.

Indeed it is stored in Apple's keychain (which on the whole is good) and i sync with 1password service too....as mobile me will not sync my keychains correctly.

However as a support person that has battled with Keychains since the beginning of OS X i still think there is some way to go with it.....ever had a keychain gone bad....it has happened to so many machines i have supported....anyway my last comments would have been explained better with this comment "One key thing we need on Mac is full keychain integration with browsers....and the Devs of these programs do not always supply this....1 password fixes this very well"

I must be fortunate, as I have never had a keychain go bad on me! I can agree with the last comment above, though. More developers would do well to add keychain integration into their apps in general - not just browsers.
