View Full Version : Change Admin to User: Create new Admin

Some years back I found a MacWorld Hint on how to make a fresh Admin account while changing the Admin account in place to a User account (I was using Admin account for day to day).
It was very simple and straight forward (which works for me).
Can any one help with this?
I am using the only account, which is Admin and want to make that a User account.

Your help appreciated.

Create a new Account in System Preferences:Accounts. Make the new account and Admin account. Log out. Log into the new account. Make the old account a standard user account by unchecking "Allow user to administer this computer"
