Hi,
My Macbook Pro, with fairly recently updated firmware (not sure exactly), started (after not installing any new software or anything like that) only going to the blue screen, with a moveable cursor.
I zapped the pram, did the fsck thing in single user mode, and my HD is ok, but now when I try to startup it doesn't even go to the blue screen it stays on the b&w (verbose mode i think)
Some messages include
localhost mDNSResponder-108.6 (dates etc)[109]: starting
9 more failures without living for at least 60 seconds will cause job removal
kerneleventagent: exited abnormally: bad system call
etc etc.
I've been through heaps of posts, any ideas?
Georgie
