Making changes to iCal calendars - synching

I am a .Mac member and have not used iCal before. I am thinking of having my son as a .Mac member as well. He would like to establish an iCal Calendar that I would have access to on the internet. We would like the ability to each make additions to the calendar and both of us would see the calendar with the changes.

I am a bit confused about how one does this. Do you have to establish a server first. If so where is the calendar. I am also confused about the role of iSynch in this as well. Do you have to have a server or do we each work on the calendar and periodically synch them?

Look into groups in .mac. You could start a .mac group with your son and give him permission to modify the group calendar.

You don't need iSync unless you want the calendar on your computers. If you just want it on the Internet you can ignore iSync.

The "server" is basically your .mac area on Apple's .mac web site.
