iphone and at&t question

hey everyone,

i have a question regarding the at&t thing :-)

im in germany and so cannot and will not buy the iphone with at&t. so my question is, can i just buy the iphone in the apple store, send it to germany and then stick in my local provider (o2) sim-card. will that work?

depends if the iphone supports o2 germany at that point. i know o2 uk is the only network that will support iphone in the uk so perhaps for germany too.

You should probably just wait until it's officially launched in Germany and save yourself a few headaches. It shouldn't be that long now.
