msn messenger 6.0.2 crashing

Hello all,
I know, I've seen this topic discussion elsewhere on the boards but I didn't find my answer there hence the new post.
My messenger, for the last couple of weeks has started to crash on me for no reason. It happens when I close any of the chat windows, the whole thing shuts down for some reason. It does the same when I try to sign off.
I've deleted the preferences file, nothing. I've re-installed after deleting every messenger-related file that came up in my computer and I'm still getting the same problem. To remove msn, I delete the "Microsoft Messenger Data" folder first, then I search for "messenger" using spotlight and delete the preference files from there. After, I re-install it but it's still crashing on me.
Can anyone help me out?

Try logging in as a different OS X user to see if the problem exists there. (Create a new user via the Accounts preference panel if you only have the one user account so far.)

Also, I keep getting the Superdrive update popping up everytime I turn on the computer. How can I get rid of that.

I'm very suspicious of the latest firmware update I installed, things seemed to start happening since then.

If you have the Safari 3 beta installed, then Messenger 6.0.2 crashes when you close a chat window. Solved with Messenger 6.0.3
