mini turns monitor a blue hue

I left work Friday and forgot to shut down my mini (nothing overly unusual there ... I've done it in the past with no problem).

I came in this morning and the screen of my monitor had a deep blue cast to it. I played with the monitor settings and couldn't get the blue out. So I changed monitors and a second monitor is doing the same thing with the blue hue (though not quite as blue).

Any ideas as to what could be going on or how to fix it?

This might be a problem with the monitor cable.

Went into the stash of some old equipment and found a different cable and it worked!

Does the mini dual-boot windows? If so, the blue-ness was probably windows greeting you to work the microsoft way;) and when you changed the cable, windows realised that you may spend some money on a microsoft cable or somehow donate money to microsoft, so when you did that, it behaved again.
