I am a new user to Mac OSX Server 10.2.2.

Currently, I am trying to configure my Netinfo such that i have 1 Master and 3 Slaves. I have a Netinfo configuration guide. However, I noticed that some of the features were not found in my Server. Iguess this is due to the lower version of the guide. As a result, i cant even get started with my first step of configuration :( . Can anyone help me on this ... And where can I find the Netinfo configuration guide and other updated networking guides for version 10.2.2?

Thanks

The OS X graphical tools for administering netinfo databases are, in my experience, at least psrtially broken. (Not just "my experience", Apple has admitted as much to me.) You need to do netinfo stuff via command line. I have not tried to set up a clone of my server yet, but that is part of my plan, too.

Do you have docs on using netinfo via command line?

I have spent a long time banging my head against the Apple NetInfo docs and there are a lot of holes and almost no. I actually found that the old NeXT manuals had more info and were more helpful than the Apple NetInfo PDF. The 10.x Server manuals are all lacking as well. The 10.2.2 manual however has some more info.

Just to see that I am understanding everything: you have 4 Servers total not 4 domains set up on one server.

10.2 has a little different front end for NetInfo. The parent is set up in the Open Directory Assistant. The children are set up with Directory Access in the Utilities folder. There is some help over at
