AppleWorks Updater Problem

When trying to use the AppleWorks 6.2.2 updater ins OS X 10.1.2, it gives me the error message that it cannot find an AppleWorks installation. This happens even after using the AppleWorks 6 CD to reinstall, then going back into the updater and trying again. Any ideas?

Is 6.2.2 a "combined" updater? I seem to recall having to do a CD install, then one update, then the 6.2.2 update...

I believe you need to run the update while booted into 9. If the updater sees an X install it will also add the 6.2.2 components.

Actually, it seems the problem was that my original AppleWorks 6 installation was not the US version. So I had to uninstall, reinstall with the US version, and then use the updater.

No wonder the spell checker kept telling me that "analyze" was wrong. ;-D
