Hi.
I have MacOS X Server 10.2.1 running on an Xserve with a number of clients connecting as network users. The clients can log in and authenticate successfully, but my sharepoints are not behaving as they should. I've had these working very recently on this configuration, but I think I might have accidentally changed something that causes the following behavior:
The Shared Items folder shows up and all the sub-folders show up, but nothing below those folders shows up. The folders claim that they have '0 items' in them, but this is not the case. Curiously, they also report an incorrect amount of drive space available. They say there is 25.99GB left, when there is really 165GB available. The Users volume which is also automounted shows the correct amount of space.
I have these folders set to "Share this item and its contents" via AFP and automounted to clients in the netinfo/root domain. I've shut down and rebooted the client machine on which I'm experiencing the problems a number of times. No luck so far. When I connect to the Xserve as a non-network login user I can mount the shared folders no problem. So, perhaps the issue lies in the automounting set up. Hmmm.
Anybody seen this issue? Any pointers or tips? Thanks in advance.

okay, so it's showing the amount of drive space left on the local hard disk! wow! also, when I get info in the client's Finder, I see that the permissions are all fscked up. It says that Jonathan (me) is the owner (with rw access) and nobody is the group (with r access).
