This is an interesting one. I have noticed a bug with the Arial font in OS X.
I occasionally have to use accented characters and noticed that opt-e e was not producing an acute accent over the e in Arial. In other fonts it works fine. I also noticed that in Arial, if I type opt-e e then opt-e e again, the first e is not accented but the second one is! If you type opt-e e in Times font, you get an accented e and if you change the font of the accented character to Arial the accent remains! If you do the reverse the accent does not show up in the Times font.
Can anyone else reproduce this and/or does anyone know what might be happening.
