Im looking for a different program to be able to convert a .band file to a .wav file. I know there is a roundabout way of doing it in Garageband itself but my friend doesnt want to do it. I am using a Windows XP computer and I want to mix these .band files together using a program I have(Sound Forge). Therefore I need those files in a .wav format. After searching online for hours, I am wondering if there are any programs that can do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to mix them. You can't just convert them. That's like taking a bag of flour, some sugar, a few eggs, etc. and saying that you want to convert it into a cake. It's not a matter of converting it, it's a matter of taking only the right amount of the ingredients and mixing it to make it sound or taste the way you want it to.
So, the 'roundabout' way of doing it is the right way to do it. Mix it.
Sound Forge can't mix it--use Garage Band.

Uhhhh... Use the export feature? Export it to AIFF (the 'standard' in uncompressed plain audio) and then use itunes or something to convert it to a wav.

If you actually want to do your mixing in another app, you'll need to pull the tracks out the .band package.
Right-click (or control-click) on the .band file and Show Package Contents. The audio files (.aif) are in the Media folder. You can convert them to .wav with iTunes or ?
It gets a bit more complicated if you have tracks that contain software instruments or even audio that doesn't start at the beginning of the song. Then you'd be best to "lock" those tracks (in Garageband) before continuing (this turns midi tracks and segmented audio tracks into contiguous .aif files that begin at the song start).
Otherwise, you could re-interpret the midi (also in the Media folder) and try to manually slip the audio tracks to the right spot in the timeline. Doesn't sound like fun to me.
