I'm having problems creating windows user accounts with OS 10.1 server. Windows users can connect to public shares, but not their user shares. I've gone into NetInfo Domain setup and found that the settings are the same as prescibed in the Apple Document on "Understanding NetInfo". Funny thing, the check box for "Encript Windows Passwords with Authentication Manager" was greyed out, even though I was logged in as root.
Also, I would like to share a USB printer over the network on the server, with Mac 10.1, 10.2, 9.2 and Windows ME clients. Unfortunately, there are no Mac drivers for the printer for OS X. The printer is an Epson Stylus Photo 700. If this is impossible, what printer would you recommend under the $200 price range.
I've been able to use CUPS in 10.2 along with gimp-print. Works quite well. But, 10.2 is on my TiBook, which is not always plugged into the network.
Please point me to any articles/sites with information on these topics.
