Apple have posted an overview to dashcode complete with images of the interface, for those of you who have not seen it. Dashcode helps you quickly and easily build elegant and compelling Dashboard widgets.

I can not wait to try this out.

If you have Tiger installed, you can try it now (http://developer.apple.com/tools/dashcode/).

This beta release has been scaled back to be compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) in order to get feedback from a broad range of users.

Thanks Reacher, totally missed that link on the sidebar, even though I was looking for a possible link to the tool.

No problem -- Apple doesn't exactly make it obvious from the page you linked to that the beta is compatible with Tiger. From the page I would have guessed that the beta was for Leopard beta-testers.

Oh, I thought this was the new way to create your own custom widgets for Dashboard. This was not what was demonstrated by Steve Jobs.

Mark, your widget worked pretty good on my end!

 i did not see SJ demo, But it is what you think???

But it also has templates.

Its interface is like a cross between iWeb and xCode ( not that I can use the latter )

Cool, will keep playing with it.. Thanks

Here is what I saw (and what I thought this was). Note the beginning of this video, not the end.

I do not see the little "+" in Safari to create the custom Web widget.

No biggie. The developer thing is cool too. I love it when Apple makes development easy!
