View Full Version : Help! My iPod has locked up and I can't do anything to it....

So I plugged my iPod into my iMac today and it doesn't show up in iTunes. I look, it says "Do Not Disconnect" and the lock button is on, even though I don't have it in the hold mold. I have tried everything from shutting the computer down, to shutting the iPod down. No luck. It is on, but I cannot get it to do anything! I even disconnected it, but it is completely locked up. Any thoughts?

I think if you press the center button and the menu button at the same time, it will reset itself.

The same thing happened to me this week end. The ipod froze when I skipped to the next song. I couldn't do anything. I just waited it ran out of batteries... Charged it and turned it on and it went fine after that. I think my ipod freezes when it is really low on batteries and asked to do somehting (i.e skip to the next song). I am not sure though.
