Best way to remote admin Linux server?

I don't really relish the thought of having to put Linux on my Mac, but if I have to then so be it.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to the best way to do this?

Any alternatives are welcome!

You need to explain more about what it is that you want to do and why you can't do it with 'ssh' and/or VNC.
