Is it possible to mount a volume on my LAN as ROOT? I am experimenting with a backup app called Synk and would like to synchronize the user folders on two machines. Same user - two different machines. When I run Synk as ROOT I should be able to synchronize the folders, but I am getting an error on the remote machine that says I don't have the necessary privileges to modify the user folder.

Whats the solution? I tried mounting the volume as ROOT first, but it is not accepted.

Login as 'System Administrator' with the root password; that is the long name for root and it works. I consider that to be a bug not a feature by the way. :)
