I'm stuck on Windows 2K at work. Sigh. Anyway, I have to work with lots of text/html files, and I constantly find myself pining for BBEdit. Basically, I need a reliable app that can find-and-replace text strings in entire folders of text files. Obviously, I can use the Windows Explorer search to find the text, but the replacing seems to be the trick. It would also be great if the app had some context coloring for Perl and HTML and even a quickie HTML validator.
In other words, is there anything out there that approaches BBEdit for Windows? I've heard that HomeSite may be close, but it sounds like it's more of an HTML editor and less of a text grinder. Any suggestions?
