So a while back I ask you guys what I should do about my MacBook spittin out CDs and DVDs, well I sent it off for work a couple weeks ago, got it back and they replaced my SuperDrive with a plain old CD joint on accident...so I went to burn my portfolio DVD and was screwed, good thing it isn't due for 2 weeks. I still love Mac but you're killing me!

That's quite unfortunate...but you should have tested it every which way upon getting it back from a repair! ;)

Accidents happen, as I know too wel from making my share of them, but I honestly don't agree that you should have to check your machine carefully upon return from a repair center to see what all they might have screwed up. It is the responsibility of the repair center to ensure that they send a completely functional product back to the customer, and failure to do so demands some sort of acknowledgement or expression of regret for the slip. MBHockey -may- be right that it's prudent to check things out thoroughly, but the expectation ought to be that your product was properly serviced.

I'm not saying you should have to, it's just my irrational, paranoid side coming out when I do things like that ;)
