I an other tread somebody had the same kind of problem and I tryed the answer but it didn't work.

The strang part of al this is that the volume of the disk is not changed, but I cant find it anywhere....

Does any one know the answer to this issue???? I am al out of options!!!!

Do you happen to have a backup of your previous OS 9 set-up? You should be able to just copy that to your current one and it should work OK. You'll have to update any aliases, of course.

What happens when you use Finder > Go menu > Go to Folder and type /Desktop Folder in the dialog box? Is there anything at all in there? It's hard to imagine that the installer would have deleted them. I haven't read any other instances of this happening - not to say that it's impossible...

I assume that you've tried Sherlock... Have you tried to search for those file names with Sherlock set to look for invisible files (just in case the installer moved them to trash or a temp location - also, hard to believe)?
