Well I posted a few days ago about my computer being laggy and I'm pretty sure its because Iphoto was open. For any of you photo junkies out there that have like 3500+ Pics in their Iphoto library they probably know what i'm talking about. I was wondering if there was first anyway to get all my pics that are in the different folders throughout the hd into one main folder and I don't care about whether they are organized or not. Next I was wondering if there was any way to make Iphoto not so laggy or take pics out of my photo library without deleting the pics. anyone have any Helpful advice?

You can create multiple libraries with a program like iPhoto Buddy.

You can create mutiple libraries from within iPhoto, too. Just hold down the CMD key while restarting iPhoto and follow the directions. Whatever you do, don't mess with the photos via the iPhoto library in finder. You will create havoc -- corrupt files, lost photos, etc. Just work from within iPhoto and you should be fine.

You can drag photos straight of iphoto into finder, which makes a copy of them and then just delete the photos that are in iphoto if you want to get them some of them out.

As for a arranging your iphoto library into one folder, the only methiod i know is to set the iphoto preferences to arrange your photos and then use the add folder to library bit from the file menu, you will have to add each folder individually.

You may well already know all of this, but i thought id try and lend a hand.
